38th The Bodrum Cup concluded after 5 days of proud, exciting, and meaningful competition across the magnificent blue waters of Bodrum.

So, what happened on the water and ashore this year? Let’s take a look at the highlights and champions of the 38th The Bodrum Cup, where tradition, passion, and solidarity took center stage.

A 79-Nautical-Mile Journey in the Blue Homeland

Held between October 19-24, this year’s event brought together 90 boats and nearly 1,000 sailors on a breathtaking five-stage route.

The event kicked off on October 19 with the traditional bell-ringing ceremony at Bodrum Town Square. Before the first start, there were emotional moments as wreaths were laid at sea in memory of the friends of The Bodrum Cup and sailors who passed away this year.

Throughout the week, the fleet showcased the expertise passed down through generations and the perfect harmony of the crews:

  • From Bodrum to Knidos: The race began with the SumOne Stage off the coast of Bodrum and extended to the ancient port of Knidos with the Ruins Luxury Resort Stage. ile antik liman Knidos’a uzandı.
  • Yalıkavak and Ortakent Line: After reaching Ortakent during the Yalıkavak Marina Stage, the teams then OPET Legraced towards Yalıkavak.
  • Grand Finale: The 5-day, 79-nautical-mile challenge concluded off the coast of Yalıkavak with the Anadolu Sigorta Leg. ile noktalandı.

A 25-Year Legacy: STS Bodrum School Ship

One of the most special agenda items of this year's event was the 25th anniversary of the Bodrum Ship, which was born from the spirit of The Bodrum Cup.

Launched in 2001 through the entrepreneurial vision of Erman Aras, the leadership of BOSAV, the design of Yücel Köyağasıoğlu, and the collective efforts of the people of Bodrum, Turkey's first school ship continues to provide young people with the opportunity to discover the sea and keep maritime culture alive. Currently undergoing maintenance and renovation at Ağanlar Shipyard, the ship will once again meet sea enthusiasts for training, international projects, and cultural and artistic events upon completion.

Supporting the Future Together

Valuable steps of solidarity were taken this year to ensure the ship's preservation:

  • SumOne’s sales proceeds from the collection prepared exclusively for The Bodrum Cup were donated to BOSAV.
  • All proceeds from the Pinhâni concert held at the closing ceremony were also donated to the foundation to contribute to the maintenance and operating costs of the school ship.

And the Trophies Found Their Winners!

At the magnificent awards ceremony held at Yalıkavak Marina on the evening of October 24, the winning teams lifted their trophies. The week's enthusiastic finale was marked by an unforgettable concert by Pinhâni.
