The third day of the 38th The Bodrum Cup, held from October 19-24, began with the Yalıkavak Marina Leg on the Knidos-Ortakent route. With the start given on Thursday, October 22, teams set sail on the 20-nautical-mile course to compete for rankings in their respective categories. In the event, which features 90 boats and approximately 1,000 sailors, the fleet will reach Ortakent at the end of the leg that started in Knidos.
The race, which began with the SumOne Leg off the coast of Bodrum and extended to Knidos with the Ruins Luxury Resort Leg, has now moved on to the third of its five stages. Teams competing on the total 79-nautical-mile course will race toward Yalıkavak on Friday, October 23, in the 15-mile OPET Leg following the Ortakent stage.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the Bodrum Ship is at the heart of the 38th The Bodrum Cup. The maintenance and renovation project of the sailing school ship, which was born out of The Bodrum Cup and brings young people together with maritime activities under the Bodrum and Caria Region Culture, Art and Promotion Foundation (BOSAV), is being carried out with the contributions of institutions and the maritime industry. Following the work currently underway at Ağanlar Shipyard, the goal is for the ship to soon return to its role in maritime training, international projects, and cultural-artistic events.
In addition to lending its name to the third leg, Yalıkavak Marina will host the fleet for the final two days of the race week. Teams arriving in Yalıkavak from Ortakent on Friday, October 23, will compete on Saturday, October 24, in the 12-mile Anadolu Sigorta Leg on the Yalıkavak-Yalıkavak route. The 38th The Bodrum Cup will conclude that same evening with an awards ceremony at Yalıkavak Marina at 7:30 PM, followed by a Pinhâni concert at 9:30 PM.
