Sailors, guests, and sea enthusiasts gathered at the bell-ringing ceremony attended by Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and Union of Coastal Municipalities President Ahmet Aras, Bodrum District Governor Ali Sırmalı, Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, MUTTAŞ Chairman of the Board Andaç Pamuk, MUTTAŞ General Manager Sedat Bayrak, MUTTAŞ Department Head Süleyman Özdemir, Bodrum Coast Guard Station Commander Ali Murat Mahmat, IMEAK Chamber of Shipping Bodrum Branch President Orhan Dinç, Bodrum Seamen's Association Chairman Tuna Altunkaya, Bodrum Hoteliers Association (BODER) President Ömer Faruk Dengiz, Cactus Hotels Group Board Member Nurçe Erben Hakan, The Bodrum Cup Organizing Committee and BOSAV President Süleyman Uysal, and The Bodrum Cup Founder and Honorary President Erman Aras. With the arrival of the racing teams, the excitement of the 38th year was shared at the Race Center in Bodrum Town Square.
This year, the focus of the organization is the Bodrum Ship, which was born out of The Bodrum Cup and is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The comprehensive maintenance and renovation work carried out to ensure that the ship—one of the most important projects of the Bodrum and Caria Region Culture, Art and Promotion Foundation (BOSAV)—carries its maritime heritage to future generations added a special meaning to this year's gathering.
Naval architect Aslı Felah is serving as the project manager for the maintenance and repair process. The ship, which was born from The Bodrum Cup, is among the most significant projects of the Bodrum and Caria Region Culture, Art and Promotion Foundation (BOSAV).
Comprehensive maintenance and renovation work, supported primarily by the IMEAK Chamber of Shipping and Ağanlar Shipyard, is currently underway at Ağanlar Shipyard to establish a sustainable structure that will keep the 25-year-old ship at sea for many years to come and to develop its new functions.

Erman Aras: "The Bodrum Ship is a testament to what this city can achieve together"
The Bodrum Cup Founder and Honorary President Erman Aras said in his speech: "When we started The Bodrum Cup, we wanted to bring the boats produced in Bodrum, the craftsmen who built them, and our maritime culture to a wider audience. Over the years, new friendships, partnerships, and projects have been born from this gathering. The Bodrum Ship, built with the contributions of the people of Bodrum, is one of the most precious of these. The fact that this 25-year-old ship is being embraced again today shows that the solidarity of the first day continues. It is this same effort and sense of ownership that will carry this story into the future."
Hasan Subaşıoğlu: "We aim for a fair and safe race week for all teams"
Sharing this year's route and race instructions at the race briefing, The Bodrum Cup Race Committee Chairman Hasan Subaşıoğlu said: "This year, we will race on a five-stage route starting from Bodrum and extending to Yalıkavak via Knidos and Ortakent. In our organization, which features boats with different characteristics, our priority is to organize fair and safe races for all teams. We expect our racers to complete their preparations in accordance with the race instructions and to follow the committee's announcements. I wish all teams success."
