The second race started in Gundogan, moving the fleet of 90 yachts to Dydima port. It was a 15 mile course, Begum Yachting - Barka Yachts course. The wind blew up to 12 knots, for another race filled with adrenaline. Mainly the racing boats are charter boats, therefore their owners are in the tourism endustry, knowing eachother. It causes funny VHF conversations, and a good friendly environment.
"DAIMA" kept the first place in Traditional Wooden Yachts Class, and All yachts class. "STS Bodrum Schoolship" came second, and "Kugu I" (Aegean Pirots) team third. First three in standart sails are: 1. Sıla, 2. Elele II, 3. Ruhum
First yachts in this course won speacial prizes from Yachting - Barka Yachts.
1- First yacht in Traditional Wooden Yachts: Unipro Antifouling
2- First yacht in all yachts, Micron Antifouling
It was "Daima" team who won all the special prizes, and they presented their gains to STS Bodrum Schoolship, which is appreciated and applouded by all participants.
Dydima D-Marin hosted all boats in the organization, preswnting a wide dinner for all, and a good band for concert. After dinner, dressing contest took place and Fanciest team was "Aegean Pirots" - Kugu I team, Best Dressed Team was "Buyuk Yunus" team.

In Barka Shipyard located in Bodrum Icmeler Mevkii and with 6.500 square meters of seafront area, of which 1800 square meters is covered and heated, new construction, refit & maintenance works can be carried out on any kind of vessel up to 50 meters with a maximum beam of 13 meters. Barka Shipyard is fully capable of constructing all type of wooden, steel and fiber yachts with the highest of specifications.
The Shipyard has got a workshop inside the new opened Didim D-Marin and is the application Center of International Paint, Sale Care Office of Doyle Sails and the authorized service provider of Yanmar Engines.
With its Professional technical team and engineers each specialized in their profession, paint, antifouling, sail repair and any kind of refit and repair of the boats is carried out under the best circumstances.
The Agent part of the Company, Begüm Yachting may do the Transit Log formalities of your boats and may organize the bunkering of duty free MGO and the related clearance formalities.
