A QUICK RACE IN THE FIRST DAY OF THE BODRUM CUP
INTERNATIONAL WOODEN YACHT REGATTA

First day's finishes were made quickly, due to high wind in the afternoon. Dragon Fly I was the first yacht in Traditional Wooden Yacht class, followed by Levent Kaptan I and Grandi.

61 yacht participates in the regatta, 10 of which are of foreign flag.

After the race, a cocktail was given in Gumusluk bay. Sailors tried to beat eachother in "20 shots and 20 knots" race, in which they were required to make 20 sailors knots, each one after a shot of tekila. Funny thing is the head of jury was a famous captain, Cengiz Orcun, who actually is blind. The champion was another famous captain in Bodrum, Ara Kaya, whose nickname is "drunk". May be that's why he could make all the knots while having 20 shots of tekila.

The night continued with OOJAMI music, until everyone got tired of dancing and drinking.

First three yachts in each group are:
