SAILORS HAD A DIFFICULT TIME IN FINISHING THE COURSE DUE TO LACK OF WIND

Wooden yachts have passed 15 nm distance in NTV course from Bodrum to Yalikavak. The race will take four courses and end on 28th of October.
Because of the lack of wind, most of the yachts could not finish the course. Only 4 yachts out of 64 arrived on time.
SPLINTER in guest category arrived first, and FERDA the second, DOLFINN from Classic yachts category arrived third. Fourth yacht to finish the course was SWANSONG of guest category.
NOSTALGIA and CARPE DIEM of teaditional wooden yachts have missed the finish time with a small delay. Since there was no finish in this category, race committee has abandoned the race for traditional wooden yachts class.
Yalikavak Municipality welcomed the participants with desserts on shore, and in the evening Group Fora has played popular songs on the stage.
Foreign press members showed great interest to the regatta. About 40 foreign, and 50 national press members are following the races. There are 12 foreign flag yachts among the participants, including Spanish, British, Australian, French, Holland, and Maltese boats.
