RACE INVITATION (14.09.2004)

Each night in a different bay, with marvellous sunsets, for a wild competition during the day and eternal friendship during the night, we invite you for the 16th time to The Bodrum Cup... We will meet to fill in our sails with the blue winds of Aegean, in company of dolphins, to form a circle of love with our yachts.

You are invited to the best sailing event of this season, lets listen to your hearts, take off from wherever you are and join us at The Bodrum Cup.

Yachts to Form a Circle of Love

Participant yachts to The Bodrum Cup International Wooden Yacht Regatta will form a circle of love in front of the Bodrum Castle.  The regatta will be held between 16-22 October for the 16th time this year.

Bodrum Cup, which has made a large contribution to yacht building and yacht chartering up to date,  will focus on promotion in yachting sector this year, indicates the organization committee. Not only the race organization, but also the shows on sea which will attract attentions are being planned during the Regatta.

Turkey’s biggest sea organization, The Bodrum Cup, organized by Era Bodrum Sailing Club will contain 5 courses around Bodrum peninsula, with pauses in Turgutreis, Yalikavak and Bitez.

The Bodrum Cup is especially unique for that the charter passangers also participate in racing activity. More than a hundred yachts are expected to take place in the Regatta, in addition to a large number of local and foreign artists and press members.

Bodrum Cup organization, resembling to a yachts’ exhibition with participation of new yachts each year, is a reliable indicatior of the level of Turkish yachting sector, as well as being a guide for the future.

	This year,  the Bodrum Cup is included in activity calendar of Mediterranean Sailing Union. The Union will prepare a special trophy for the Bodrum Cup.
CIRCLE OF LOVE	Participant yachts to The Bodrum Cup International Wooden Yacht Regatta will form a circle of love in front of the Bodrum Castle on 17th of October.  Activities will take place during the evening.
THE BEST DRESSED CREW AND THE FANCIEST DRESSED CREW	This year best dressed crew will be awarded by our jury..
SHARE THE PHOTO OF THE DAY WITH US	Would you like to share the photos of sailors, sailing yachts, excitements and struggle with us? Each day delivered photos will be displayed on the computer stand in the evening.
THE BODRUM CUP 2004 PHOTOGRAPH CONTEST	Best shot of 2004 will be selected by your votes on the web. Delivered photos will be evaluated by professional photographers and displayed on our website.
SLIDESHOWS	On the opening ceremony two photograpgh artists will present slideshows. Gulumser Iscelebi and  Ali Oz will take part in the ceremony with their Bodrum Cup photos of  previous years.
