The Bodrum Cup XVI. 3rd course : Turgutreis – Yalıkavak

The start was given at 13:00 because of lack of wind. This continued during the day, therefore 8 yachts withdrew from the course stating they could not finish.
Some spectators preferred swimming, considering the heat, and silence of the day. But the racers, tried hard to cross the finish line up to 18:05 in the afternoon.
After the race fleet arrived in Port Bodrum Yalikavak Marina, where a cocktail party was expecting them.
Participants had great fun watching the fashion show of team dresses of racing yachts.
The first time in the Bodrum Cup there was the contest of “The Best Dressed Crew”, and “The Fanciest Dressed Crew”.
Teams went on the stage, dancing and acting like supermodels, which was a really funny scene… Jury has chosen the winners:
The Best dressed crew: “Melike” team
Jury’s special prize: “Gul” team
The Fanciest Dressed crew: “Çakmak” team
Jury’s special prize: “Avrasya” team
Jury’s special prize was the free entry to The Bodrum Cup 2005, and winners received a check from Port Bodrum Yalikavak Marina, including free anchoring, accommodation and a dinner for two.

Yalikavak Mayor and municipality members gave the first finish yachts in Yalikavak course:
